All sorted, thanks.
I had to reinstall the SBT server in the end.

Music is on a Synology NAS (ethernetconnection via router). I plan to
connect the NAS and Touch on a switch, that's connected to the router.
At the moment, I'm still using the Duet. I will order a Touch one of
these days. Will control it with the Duet-controller.
I will try the software tweaks

As reported by John S I've been looking at support for async usb dacs
connected to the Usb port of Touch. I believe I've made some progress
and have some changes to the touch firmware which I believe are worth
sharing. At present this is really a proof of concept and I am looking
for testers

I did some research on this yesterday and it appears Peters original
work is still sound, it just needs a bit of refreshing for LMS.
The problem is that while Logitech 'fixed' the problem of the SB Touch
not having a fixed volume they blew the implemenation for those that
still want the ability
This is beyond me. I figure I'll need to run a virtual machine with
similar specs to the Touch so I can install a full linux setup then
compile a binary to transfer over and install. Perhaps a pogoplug will
be enough.
Anyone wanna try this and share?
Thanks!

I had a similar issue a few months ago that started when my son came
home for Thanksgiving. Several times a day all wireless devices in our
household would lose internet access. Rebooting the router restored
access until the next time; typically a matter of a few hours later. I
tried changing
Will install later this afternoon, can't shake feeding the family

Does the instantaneous frequency update on the Usb Audio Output info

mine. This kernel overrides the rate at which the dac asks for data to

I'm trying to understand why you want to put transmission on the Touch
in the first place. My understanding is that it is its own linux
distribution with a bunch of studio music apps (synthesizers, drum
machines etc). If all you want to do is play music, most people will
run MPD, I'm sure you can
Installed and tried on a MF VLink, A Wavelength CoSecant, and a
Peachtree DAC*IT.
No synch to the VLink or CoSecant.
The Peachtree played the music cleanly, but the music dragged if that
makes any sense.
By the way, install was flawless and the uninstall was also flawless.
Good work, please
There is also a bit torrent client named transmission .
But consider that you have to clean out the rubish files after
downloading and adjust the file tags ! This is neccesary just trusting
dl file to come with decent tags is a 100% sure way to end up with
scanning problems or artifacts in the
Also check out Transmissions dependencies , the Linux on Touch is very
small it migth not come with everything expected.
I think what mnyb wanted to say is: forget it :-). It's not worth the
hassle unless tinkering is part of the fun for you. A plug computer would
serve you much better.

more info on connectivity.
I have a small radio that accepts rca plugs.
I have a wifi network on a different floor in the house.
