A properly setup system. ;)
Essentially there are three different categories of users in regards to
switching between LMS and MySB.com
1. No need nor desire to switch, use only LMS for convenience and added
features functions not offered
Sorted and thanks to you.

Excellent John, so in summary, a good example of an async USB DAC is the
MDAC, therefore with the well engineered MDAC, there is no need for an
intermediate re-clocker (or any form of clock upgrade), simply because
the MDAC is one example of a well implemented async USB DAC, is that
right?

Hi there!
Is there a way to back up just everything of a SBT?
I mean: To back up the entire configuration, Kernel, Firmware... just
everything that is on its internal Hard Disk (some flash memory).
On a normal computer, I would boot it from a stick and back up the
hard disk with all its
Absorbed a lot of good information, and have been able to use my USB

my 96 / 24 HD tracks successfully as well, as everyone is pointing out
scanning can take a bit of time but not to bad since I only have about

Backing up everything seems like overkill to me (especially because
released firmware is available from
http://update.slimdevices.com/update/firmware/). But if you really want
to back up everything the most straightforward way is to enable remote
login on the SBT and then copy all the files over
Had a storm earlier and a power cut.
When SBT came back on the screen display was on the right i.r. starting
text in the middle of the screen. Previously the text was on the left.
There is also, on some stations, a station logo.
No user changes made - power went off and back on in seconds.
I have updated the My Music folder that LMS reads and rescanned - LMS
said complete.
The Music Folder is now not available and LMS says is is not available
whilst scanning - what is wrong with it?!
LMS no longer shows anything at all in Music Folder.

Thanks, Gary, will try that later.

Hello there,
I'm a Squeezebox Touch, Rx, Radio x3 owner.
Very pleased with all devices running on the house network.
I'm also the happy owner of a Yamaha Disklavier piano.
This true piano is midi enabled.
I would like to have a dedicated SB Touch to feed this midi piano
instrument with midi

I agree. This is a great overview and might help obviate some of the

I have in fact heard modded touch players. So I stand by my response of
not necessary and benefits being doubtful (in my opinion). But I'm
pleased that your particular modded touch is better in

I have a high quality DAC and the mods that I have applied to my SBT

mods will yield fruit.. But this is a long way
