No, there could still be some sort of network problem. You may have done
this already, but if not:

Yes, and every device on your network should be 192.168.0.xxx (xxx =
only numbers different from others).

hi
the virgin hub i believe is a modem/router combo. its certainly taken
the place of our old modem and seperate router, and is part of an
upgrade package from virgin, along with tivo box etc.
no guest netwok involved.
ive looked in the diagnostics as you suggest, and everything seems fine.

sadex,
You have a network problem somewhere. What is this "Virgin hub"? Is it
a router? Modem/router combo? Guest network involved?
Go to LMS > Control Panel > Diagnostics, what is reported for ALL pings,

your advice has helped me so far to understand the different servers
etc, but this seems to be a new problem now. as before, itll play my

from my favourites etc. but whe i switch library to

im having the same problems again. i can play locally stored music. i

if i go back to favourites and choose onmysqueezebox, com it say
hmmm seem to be having problems with the server on the laptop now. the
server isnt showing in the system tray. i right click the control panel
in start menu and runas administrator but it keeps saying i havent got
privileges etc etc much as before. says the server is running but i
cant see it.
I think your Touch is connected to your LMS server.
Just to prove that Tpuch plays the stream OK and avoiding any LMS
issues, I suggest
1. Make the following URL a mysqueezebox.com Favorite and give it a
unique name (e.g. Testing 6Music) so you won't mix it up with any other
existing favorite.

Describe your setup - model of player, wifi, server etc.
Are you using a local LMS ?
Is your player connected to the local LMS ?
Where (LMS or Mysb.com) have you stored the 6Music favorite ?
On your Touch - check Settings/Adanced/Diagnostics/Server Info - any
thing which does not have "OK"

The problem is the favorite you have stored. You need to update it.
Just change it to the URL AntonioBel suggested.

sorry mate, not techy enough to understand that :-D
what i can tell you is im connecting through the server on my laptop.
the squeezebox connects to my laptops name, then i go to favourites
where 6 music is stored. i select it, and thats where these messages
start. id say 50% of the time it me
You could also try adding below url to your favourites and using it:

ok, just moved my switch library to home menu, so thats one job done

youre right, i sometimes have 2 servers running, is that a problem? and
if so why? i have LMS running on my laptop, and my wife has it on hers
too, this is the other option in the switch library.
as for the
Move your "Switch Library" menu item to your Home menu, then you can
select exactly which library to connect to right off the bat.
Do you have two LMS instances running?
The upgrade loop is usually caused by the two servers (LMS on your
computer and MySB.com online) being different versions. If
always seem to have trouble getting the box to play internet radio. ill
list a few things i cant explain.
firstly ive always had trouble connecting automatically, but i sussed
that if i press 'my music' it tries to connect to a different library.
so i let it, then 'switch library' to mine. the

The server and players try to find each other using a "discovery
protocol" which uses UDP broadcast messages. If the firewall on the NAS
blocks UDP (which is fairly common) they will never find each other.
I don't know anything about that NAS so I can't help with specifics, so

Hi tvfan,
I have exact the same setup and face similar issues. I had a buffering
problem that is why I switched to LAN connection for squeezebox. No I
have same error messages as you have in the log.
Were you able to fix this?
