Well worth it, even the Display Off mod, which I thought I would never
do.
Sound quality improvement is worth it...IF you use your Touch solely as
a digital transport and have either a Controller, Ipeng or an Android

Touch modifications? I searched on the Sound check website, but cant

Undoing the mod is just a matter of Factory resetting the Touch or
deleting the rcS.local script isn't it? I've done that btw. I left the
asound.conf (digital out only) script installed.
Is modifying the script to keep wireless just a matter of deleting
these two lines -

I've modified the rcS.local script to keep wireless. Now it's time to

I had a quick listen yesterday and it all sounded good, but I don't

In the SettingsAdvancedFiletypes of the Web UI
change the FLAC settings to this:
FLAC: Disabled
MP3: Disabled
PCM: FLAC
Disabling FLAC in the top entry tells the Touch NOT to decode Flac
onboard, but instead on the external server.

I certainly hear a good improvement..music flows better, better sense
of musicians playing together rather than seperate sounds clashing.
Timbre and tonal quality improved noticably too.
