What I'm going to suggest here now is a side note, since I have once
experienced a similar problem.
What could help in this case is:
* Just INSERT/PLUG the disk drive which was previously removed unsafely.
Don't mount its partitions.
* Use a file system checking to check for errors on the all
Addendum: The Fsck program ("fsck" command) is provided by the
"util-linux" package.
I queried the FSF about this.

I actually sent an e-mail to the FSF's Licensing and Compliance Lab about this
asking whether the Libreboot T400 was actually RYF-certified yet or not, since
it is not listed on

Solved ... to an extent.
Got my taskbar back up to snuff when I discovered that the "Indicator Applet
Complete" is what was missing.
Of course, the peek-a-boo taskbar still dutifully appears until after I enter
my password. Not an issue any more.
Hello,
I just got an email (from DefectiveByDesign and FSF) that mention this
computer.
What do you think about this computer ?
As an addendum for those interested on discussing this further:
So far I have checked most of the text files in the KeeperRL development

Yes. The first one is clearly Vorbis and the second one is evidently Opus.
Hello All.
I am a middle aged Noob. I installed Trisqul Mini on 2 older laptops I had
that previously had Windows XP on. The first is a DELL E1705, and the 2nd is
an ASUS EEPC 1005HAB.
I have played around in the past with DesktopBSD, and FreeBSD, however I had
trouble installing either
Well, I'm quite impressed, mainly because its technical specifications

know if, by doing so, the user'll end up using some nasty low-level
non-free software that would come with the upgrade) when compared to the

With Nautilus, you just need to right click on it and go to "properties" and
it tells you what codecs, frame rate, bitrate and sample rates are being
used.
There's also ffmpeg (or avconv) -i media_file_name.whatever
This is pointless for two reasons: For one, Trisquel doesn't have any
proprietary software to block. Second, if the concerns are instead over
people installing proprietary junk from third parties, there is no way to
have an exhaustive list of all possible package names to conflict with (it
then just try mounting manyally, and try with some other drive, even a usb

Oh, it makes perfect sense now, thanks.
I just found this and it pleases my inner audiophile.

I already can do that, like I said in my original post. It's problems with
all drives not automounting anymore which is what I have a problem with. It's
not just one drive that has errors on it or something.
I still have a problem with adding automounting to my netinstall. Maybe some
of my attempts might prove useful to your case:

So ok, the first reason is related to the difference between Ubuntu and Arch,
which I didn't know about (Thanks onpon4).
The second reason can't be perfect, but it would be an interesting idea as a
self-imposed or suggested training aid (training wheels).
I mean, people who would need this
What if I no longer have access to the drive that made this mess? It was for
a job and did not belong to me.
Have you received a reply? I sent my query about a month ago, and either they
haven't gotten round to it yet, or they've just forgotten. Although to be fair,
the guys at the Lab are probably busy people.

Hi, as I learn from you guys as well as GNU, I realize that
*no one promise and/or protect your privacy/security entirely _for_ you.*
At most what they try hard was to provide an opportunity for you. One should
exert his/her own efforts to protect his/herself.

Will it play Crysis? No.
But non-free software and other heavy games aside, it should do YouTube,
Impress, etc well.
Or at least I know the T60-aged HP nc6320 does.
Hi there and welcome! That file etc/kbd/config is for blanking the virtual
consoles. (Eg. hit Ctrl+Alt+F1 to go to VT1 and Alt+Left arrow to get back) I
don't know how to inhibit the screensaver. Trisquel uses sudo instead of a
separate root account. If you use an editor on the command line

I thought this was cool !
I'd love that for Trisquel.
Not in the defeault install, but in the repo, that would be nice.
I wonder how complicated that would be (maybe there are complications since

Also not particularly useful as something to apply to Ubuntu, because Ubuntu
separates libre from proprietary software (although we may have some
disagreements on the exact definition, just like with Debian). From my
understanding, Arch doesn't do that, and this is why that package exists.
I apologise if this sequence of dumb decisions and my lack of memory makes
you cringe, mad or have any other negative response.
So a couple of days ago my laptop ran out of power whilst i was playing a

The games code seems to be GPL3 but the art but audio are not (though there
is a all-text mode that's free). I'm just wondering what the forum here
thinks of this particular arrangement, where the code is free but not assets?
To me it seems optimal for a commercial FLOSS game, but I would
Art AND audio I mean...
Exactly, it is a very bad thing to put your content into a patented or even
worse a DRM based format; But it shouldn't be a reason for you to not decode
it into a libre system/format. DVD for example is a terrible format but
because we can decode it with free software - we can at least use
