Congratulations for the release of Trisquel 8 "Flidas"! :D A big thank you to
everyone who contributed to making this release possible, and of course
especially to quidam. Thanks a lot! :)
I'm also interested in knowing whether there will be an ARM version of
Trisquel as I took part in the EOMA-68 funding campaign and will be using a
device.
I'm very happy to see that the campaign was a success. I harshly could
believe it would be until the last few fays. So, congratulations to all
people that made it possible! And especially to the "core" "team" that put so
much energy in this project. You really deserve to see the campaign bein

I will try what you wrote. In fact, I had in mind to keep my two wired

Hello!
I think you have to (or rather you'd better to) translate it via Launchpad

Hi!
I want to upgrade my Trisquel Mini from version 6.0 to version 7.0.
I wanted to do it with the update tool. But I encountered a problem: the
trisquel-recommended package and all its dependencies were marked as to be
installed. This is something I don't want. So, I stopped the upgrade. I ha

Your Wi-Fi stick doesn't appear. Is it connected when you type the command?
Or do you know what model/brand/versio, and so on it is?
Here is your problem. Mixing repositories can be problematic. Especially when
you use repositories that are not for the version of the system you are using
or of the system yours is based on (Ubuntu 12.04 if you use Trisquel 6.0, for
instance).
What package did you install (to have this dependency issue) and was it in
the Trisquel repositories?
Have you tried the "sudo lxdm" command?
> Have you used one of the alternatives? How did it compare to Impress?
You can use LaTeX with Beamer too. When document is exported as PDF,
you shouldn't have any surprise (in the layout) during the
presentation. But it is less user-friendly, of course (especially when
you never uses LaTeX).
Hi!
Did you take a look at h-node.org?
I'm quite in the same situation. I only send some SMS in addition in the
year.
Can you please post the results of the following commands?
lspci
lspci -nn | grep -i net
lspci -k
sudo lshw -C network
lsmod
iwconfig
ifconfig
sudo iwlist scan
uname -r -m
cat /etc/network/interfaces
nm-tool
sudo rfkill list
In order to help you, the best thing to do is telling us what card you have
in order to know if it can work with free software only. You can see
h-node.org for this purpose.

Yes, there exists the Mini version (which I use) that comes with LXDE.
You can also use the minimal install and then install the desktop you
want.

I personally donate by wire transfer, even if I need to pay a charge.
I personaly prefer stability. So, one version each time an Ubuntu LTS is
released would satisfy me. And, as you suggest it, Chris, time could be used
to have better documentation or to cencentrate on the promotion of Trisquel.
But this is a personal point of view. The point is what would the wh

For my use of Trisquel (desktop computer), I don't need Unity.
I do not use the mini version of Trisquel, so I do not know is there any

In fact, Trisquel Mini uses LXDE as a desktop environment (see

Yes, it's just a bad habit (I'm a newcomer to completely free distributions).
