Long shot but this happened to me once. The tar file must be untar'd from
the udt directory, not your upgrade directory. Its meant to over right some
things.

Patricia,
What are you trying to accomplish?
AIX has a feature called snapshots.
The concept with snapshot is COW or copy on write, as opposed to a
moment in time of JFS2 filesystem.

I am investigating using
on the server. You can
have as many clients as needed. They have a per server license plan, or you
can get a site license if you need to have 4 or more servers on the same
site. 8-)

John,
One way of accomplishing this is to: (this varies base on what flavor you
are running (UniVerse IDEAL/PICK/REALITY/PRIME...)
This example is UniVerse/Pick flavor
1- Copy the SET-FILE VOC entry to SET-FILEB
2- Write a program that will prompt you for the account name and file name,
This worked for me. Thanks Stuart.

From within SBServer, you can CALL TU.SESSION.CLOSE() from an exit
verb which will close the session without a dialog.
Or a script:

Krish,
Why don't you just transfer the data to MS Excel already converted?
Example.
DT=OCONV(FIELD(DATE_Time_Qty,'*',1),'D4/')
TM1=FIELD(DATE_Time_Qty,'*',2)
TM=OCONV(FIELD(TM1,'.',1),'MT')
You can create a dict or eval item.
Hope it helps.

We have been transferring data from UniVerse to Oracle and SQLServer for

We use Openlink software http://www.openlinksw.com/
