Pamela, the HP LaserJet 3600n (color) is a host-based printer and UniVerse
cannot to date print to host-based printers. I have seen this many times at
installations where host-based printers (many times a lower cost printer)
reside. And never have I been able to get the printer to respond past the

It sounds like you may need to resotore your &DEVICE& file from your
original system. Another file I always backup before an upgrade is the
UV.ACCOUNT file.
Both files exist in the UV directory.

Both files exist in the UV directory. You don't say if your running on a
Unix or Windows system. My experience is only with Unix systems.

Thanks for everybodys suggetions.
At the end of the day it was not a UniVerse problem. (although NOEJECT was

NOEJECT
Once we removed this, it worked just fine.

I am not familiar with Lexmark printers but there may
be a control panel setting to turn on the end of job
page eject. If not, you can add the EJECT option to
the SETPTR command in you print program and
get the same result.

Do you have the EJECT option in the SETPTR ? Sometimes printers have an
option to defeat the formfeed. We are using a printronix where we actually
want this to happen, because we never do form feeds we the application is
always counting lines. Anyway, these printers may be set to defeat form
