Most of my small (and not so small) portable devices are formatted ext2.
There's a completely free and open source driver for ext2 that works fine under
Windows.

BTW, if you want to be able to access your ext 4 partitions, particularly /home
from windows, just install the open source ext2 driver under Windows.

going to be a lot of squarking about Unity when 11.04 is released and
I'm not sure I like the direction it's going. Mark Shuttleworth seems quite
pleased with it however.
