I'm testing Ubuntu 8.10 beta live CD.
When I load the GNOME desktop, I can see that the Human theme is not
loaded. The window title bars are blue instead of brown/orange, and the
icons aren't the Human ones.
When I try to open
I tested my laptop with the LiveCD of the Beta version of Intrepid. The
p4-clockmod module is not loaded by default, but if it is loaded, the
laptop crashes as it did before.

if i have to delete everything and then reconfigure it myself ... so

and lspci. Made on the same machine running 8.04 and 8.10.
Actually the same goes for Desktop CD (both 32 and 64 bit), it just
drops to (initramfs) after a while and nothing boots.

I can solve the problem following the steps in http://www.ubuntu-

1. Delete the detected printer in System-Administration-Printing
2. Turn off the printer and unplug the USB cable.

a new 8.04LTS server.
Noticed that 2 users could have the same writer file open at the same
time.
Edited the /usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice file so that

So I guess this is likely to be a problem with all Haskell libraries,
when they are upgraded in the same run as ghc6?
Would making ghc6 a Pre-Depends of these libraries be appropriate? I
have pinged kaol, the Debian maintainer of ghc for an opinion.

The wiki page actually does work for intrepid, the only thing you have
to change is:
1. Add the following line to /etc/apt/sources.list:
deb http://ddebs.ubuntu.com intrepid main universe
Instead of the hardy, hardy-updates/proposed/security lines.
