Another confirmation on another edgy box -- after the latest dist-

xorg. If I open a program like Thunderbird, it drops to 60% until the
program loads and then goes back up to 80%. At one point there was 45%

upstart doesn't provide sysvinit.
It's entirely correct that ubuntu-minimal gets removed, because when you
install upstart, you do not have a canon minimal ubuntu installation.
The right solution is to change the dependency in ubuntu-minimal from
sysvinit to upstart, which is planned.

Go to system-administration-net-Properties of eth0 interface.
I set it up as static IP, then I write the PC's IP, network mask and gateway's
IP, click OK and close the net dialog. Then I try to connect to the Internet,
but it fails to anything. So I return to the network
Another mystery... When unmounting the second, not-encrypted, partition
of the same usbdisk, the encrypted partition is also automagically
unmounted.. which then works fine :S

amounts in short time) when a monitored network interface goes down.

2. add ethernet interface monitoring

This is in a clean install of edgy knot 2.
The default Konqueror start screen has mostly been updated to the purple
theme, except for top-right-konqueror.png which is still the old blue.
/usr/share/apps/konqueror/about/top-right-konqueror.png is the incorrect
blue color.
