I run a Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 notebook with acpi-support 0.103 and a desktop
with Dapper Drake 6.06 with acpi-support 0.85 .
I checked my desktop's /etc/acpi/lid.sh and found the == typo in it,
too.
The notebook is a Xeron 8640. Its -like several other -8640-notebooks

process only allows for regressions to be fixed, not new features. It
can however, be backported from gutsy or hardy (preferably hardy after

Checked on a different ubuntu machine, /etc/emacs/site-start.d/00debian-
vars.el didn't exist. ran aptitude install emacs22 on second machine
and it succeeded, and file was generated. Copied 00debian-vars.el to

Hi, I will like to re-confirm this bug in 7.10.
My problem it's not just with suspend or hibernate, but also with
reboot. I can mount smbfs file system fine in FSTAB, but when I reboot,
it just behaves the same way as the first post says.
I have in FSTAB:
//192.168.1.6/Datos /media/D smbfs
The bug came on all computers and went away on all machines for months. I think
it must have been the internet connection.

the bug is caused by two InputDevice entries in /etc/X11/xorg.conf,

I can confirm that I am also experiencing this bug. Firefox 2.0.0.8

This sounds like a problem with the code in the Visual Effects tab to
handle migrating workspace/viewport settings.

It's not a GNOME bug. Ubuntu chose to use the GTK Icon Cache. For icons
in /usr/share/icons a cache is generated/updated in the postinst.
dh_iconcache used to do that, it's now dh_icons:
