Hard crash entering X with Intel 82845G chipset
Although it is good that the package refuses to overwrite local files,
the error does occur during a graphical upgrade from 8.04 to 8.10. The

I agree that this bug should be a high priority fix as many users of
previous releases are used to this option and expect it to work in the
next release. I have this problem and it is _very_ annoying!

Downloaded the Ubuntu installer last week. Finally got a chance to
install it last night. After system restart, I chose windows to make
sure it was operating correctly (matter of debate) when it started, my
desktop wallpaper was missing. Minor issue, I am sure. Just curious
