I still experience this bug with intel drivers 2.7.99.1-1,
KDE4.2.2(4.2.3), installed from ppa's. There is another bug-report on

Hello, I have the same problem, and a lag when I restore windows. Like
davidc says, the problem happens with any player. I have jaunty, and the
new ati 4770, so I had to install ati drivers from its web page(Catalyst
9.5), not from repositories. Is there any solution?

(model no. DSL-G624T), and Firofox 3.0.10. Pages with messages from

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make

button all seems to proceed normally until the final Ubuntu splash
screen. At this point I see a black screen with the prompt and the

I did some testing and to me it seems to be working. My partitions are not in
ro mode and none of my apps are segfaulting.
If it continues to work without a hassle I think it's time for a 9.04.2!

Would it be possible to provide the updated deb in some PPA, at least -
till the decision is made regarding official update for Jaunty (or, in
the worst case, till October)? I can do it in my PPA - but probably
there are more 'visible'/'official' places?
