Maybe this behaviour is intended and empty categories are not shown? That makes

feisty menu-editor - renaming
This doesn't look like a bug in alacarte. The .desktop/.directory file is
created correctly in $HOME/.local/share/applications or desktop-directories
when you rename an entry. However the change is not picked up by gnome-panel.
A recompiled gnome-panel without any patches doesn't have this bug.
I'm sorry. Recompiling without patches doesn't fix it. Changing the LANG
to C however does.

Public bug reported:
I can use the system-tools without being asked for a password. I can add new
users, put them in the admin group etc. without myself being in the admin
group. useradd wouldn't work without proper rights though.
I can also set clock with time-admin without proper permissions.
Public bug reported:
When I create a new user and use generate random password I get an
error Password should not be empty - A password must be provided.
I'm using edgy and gnome-system-tools 2.15.3-0ubuntu1

Public bug reported:
Python crashed with bittorrent clients. This happened with different
clients (bittornado,bittorrent,freeloader). I attach both stacktraces I
got. Seems the cause is always the same, since all crash with the
message GC object already crashed.

I installed 0.2.1-7 and it mounts volatile now. I guess you won't need
the syslog anymore?

Public bug reported:
upstart 0.2.1-7 is installed.
When the system boots it waits until I press return several times. (Well I
waited about 10 minutes at the prompt.)
I took some notes:
Some boot messages
init: tty6 state changed from waiting to starting
