I searched onwards yesterday and found the solution to this thing. How
to get this working again as user?
OK, do the following steps:
1. first open your Terminal and enter this command:
sudo chown debian-tor /etc/tor -R
2. Then follows this command in your Terminal:
sudo
it as root! And I am also not willing to set
up a root-account only for this, because this would cause a real
security-issue!!

I found out, that in LinuxMint, I do not have problems with flash
anymore. But in Ubuntu, flahs often hangs, because the flash often
causes cache-overflows. So I manually have to empty out the cache of the
browsers, then flahs works again for some time, until the cache is full
again.
This is not
, this bug is not fixed and the next days, I will test
Ubuntu again, if it also happens there. If yes, then I will return back
here. So this bug seems not to be fixed.

I found a solution postet in a thread in ubuntuforums. There it is
recommended to uninstall the package gnome-extra-data. This helped for
me but the package above mentioned should be corrected, to be
installable again.

found the clean solution for this problem with gnome-games-common.
The solution is to find here:

The package gnome-games-extra-data needs to be removed, then the games
can be installed in Gnome3 (but without extra graphics).

I also want to put your attention to broken dependencies in the gnome-
games-package. Everytime, I want to do the upgrade after having
installed this ppa-repository, I get this in synaptic, Mint-Update and
Terminal as well:
E: /var/cache/apt/archives/gnome-games-common_1%
into the distro, because it is a direct dependency of nvidia-current!!!

nvidia drivers activated but not in use

the package nvidia-current-modaliases is a dependency of nvidia-

hi people,
the problem that causes this error is, that the versions of nvidia-
current and nvidia-current-modaliases are not fitting to each other. My
synaptic shows nvidia-current with this version:
270.41.19-0ubuntu1~xup~natty. In Contrary to this, the package nvidia-
current-modaliases still
Then I just wanted to add, that I have the ppa-repository of
ubuntu-x-swat already installed on my LinuxMint 11 with Gnome 2.32.1
Kernel is 2.6.38.8-generic
Architecture is x86_64
my graphiccard is this one: 02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia
Corporation C79 [GeForce 9200M G] (rev b1)
the package nvidia-current
(proprietary nvidia-driver) depends on this package!! Please put it back
into the dist. I think, this will fix up many other issues I found here
with nvidia-packages.

thanks for upgrading this super-good package. The source is included in
the debian-package and MediathekView 2.5.0 runs so somooth and fine for
