When installing via netboot of a usb drive, my pc sees the usb drive as
/dev/sda, and the internal harddisk of the laptop as /dev/sdb. If I
select 'guided, whole disk' during install and specify /dev/sdb as the
disk to use, grub still gets installed on /dev/sda by default. I

Clicking the city/timezone on the map does work.
I do not know if this problem is restricted to 'only free software'

Looks like this was caused by the fact that I used unetbootin to put the
iso on a usb stick. When I use kvm to test the image I do get a
localised environment.
Not sure if this makes the bug invalid, many people advice (new) users
to use unetbootin to put the image on an external thumbdrive,

I never get the 'Humans equals keyboard' screen when I use unetbootin. It
immediately goes to a custom unetbootin-themed menu that contains all default
options (test disk, memtest, try ubuntu, install ubuntu etc). Pressing a key

I believe this is due to an error in ubuntu-defaults-builder (maybe the
path to /usr/share/syslinux/themes/ubuntu-oneiric/isolinux-live/ is
hardcoded?). As a temporary fix I just copied the content of
/usr/share/syslinux/themes/ubuntu-oneiric to /usr/share/syslinux/themes

/ubuntu-defaults-builder/+bug/910859 I copied the content of
/usr/share/syslinux/themes/ubuntu-precise/ to /usr/share/syslinux/themes

I have syslinux-themes-ubuntu installed, but I'm running Precise. I
think that means that ubuntu-defaults-image shouldn't look for the
directory 'ubuntu-oneiric' but for 'ubuntu-precise'.
I'll try to copy ubuntu-precise to ubuntu-oneiric in
/usr/share/syslinux/themes, and see if that solves it.
Copying ubuntu-oneiric to ubuntu-precise and building the example image
did give an iso. It's not really functional, but thats probably due to
the alpha nature of precise at the moment.

Installing the gnome3 desktop environment on oneiric also installs a
debian splash screen for grub. This is an unexpected side effect, and
also breaks the purple theme of the vanilla boot sequence.

apps once, for a single package. After that, you have to restart the

Software center uses two different strings to indicate the version of the
software a review refers to.
The first one is: This versions (version_nr).
The second is: For version version_nr.
For paid app (and only paid apps), the first version is always used,
even for reviews
