As far as I know, it is not necessary to relegate the remainder of the
disk space past 137GB to an extra or "archive" position. You can simply
create a separate partition for /boot, about 100MB or so should be fine,
and ensure that it is the first partition on the drive, or at least
within the firs

I just had this very same thing happen to me. I'm not sure if you're

Earlier, I had ejected a CD via the eject button, not through the UI.

I just reproduced this on my machine. I used a 2GB thumb drive split
into a 1GB FAT and 1GB Ext4 partition.
usb-creator appears to be offering the choice to format any given
partition, and in fact specifies that the ext4 partition would need to
be formated in order to turn it into a startup disk.

"4. Uncheck the option that says to copy the photos to Photos, since you have
your own folder organization scheme."
You've told F-Spot not to copy your files, and thus leave them exactly
where it found them. It simply adds their information to the database

1) Attempt to launch an administrative app from the menu, something that will
use a gksudo prompt

2) What graphics card/driver are you using? If you could run "apport-collect -p
