parameters), the bug is not present there

So I added:

I checked in /etc/fstab if these where the correct values first.

My humble guess is that the "broken" icon-theme.cache I attached belongs
to the previous (dapper) version of gnome-icon-theme, and that it

Apologies, i DO still have a backup of the broken file, attached.
"sudo cp icon-theme.cache.broken /usr/share/icons/gnome/icon-
theme.cache" breaks gedit again, and "sudo gtk-update-icon-cache -f
/usr/share/icons/gnome/" fixes it.

of all icon-theme.cache files in subdirectories of /usr/share/icons
