tried not to use the CustomEdid option, but then the notebook's display remains
black, only the external monitor works. When I use the CustomEdid otpion, both

I can confirm this is still an issue and appears to be network load
related and not Compiz-specific.
As I type this I am attempting an iSCSI install of Ubuntu 10.10 using
Ubuntu 10.04 netboot binaries on a Dell Inspiron 600m and the link is
constantly being reset, presumably by the iSCSI traffic.
I installed Maverick a week ago and I'm noticing a memory leak. I've
seen it get as high as 2.5GB. I just killed it at 1.2GB.

Just for the record, on the Toshiba Satellite system from which I
submitted the original bug, the problem is note resolved by adding:
GRUB_GFXPAYLOAD_LINUX=1400x1050
to the grub config and in fact resulted in serious system slowdown.
Perhaps the resolution was too high?

My issue only freezes the mouse pointer (System is still stable and
responds to KB commands). I did remove Pulseaudio last night and
installed oss4, if anything the freeze came even quicker, I've since
gone back to pulseaudio.
For what it's worth, I leave my system running all night playing
Till was referring to System - Administration - Printing: Right-click
printer, Properties and in the dialog under Job Options. Click
More in the Common Options section and set Output Order at the end
of the section to Reverse.

I was trying to install Ubuntu 10.10 Desktop Edition on my PC today. I booted
up from my LiveCD.
Then,I reached up to the Ubuntu loading logo. It stayed there for a few
minutes. But then I came to a black screen with the following written on the
screen:
BusyBox v1.15.3
It looks like now dragging on Appearance Preferences does work now, but
dragging to the desktop + alt + release mouse button + set as background
does not.
