I tried a new command in order to get the splashscreen. sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh usplash update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-2.6.27-11-generic But this command doesn't help neither. Later I tested the OpenSuse-11.1 Gnome Live CD. When starting the live-cd I don't get the splash!
