Could this be the reason why my hidden network takes several minutes to

I am getting the same issue. I did a clean install, but added an old
ext3 drive to my fstab. I had to restart due to getting a kernel problem
reported by apport. Upon restart, the old ext3 drive wanted to be
checked. After about 5-6 minutes of the flashing, constantly reporting

Little too late for that...I've probably re-installed Ubuntu a few times
and gtkpod several times since February. Haven't had it happen for a
while now - it must have been fixed by something at some point.
