To be more precise, I've been having another scrolling problem on other
applications. When scrolling on xterm and gnome editor with page up and
page down, sometimes a rectangle inside the window is not redrawn. In
xterm, that rectangle stays black and in gedit, the text is not
correctly updated.

I think I'm having the same problem (I'm too lazy to read all the
previous comments). I wan't to select a di.fm playlist file in my
browser and I expect that rhythmbox (or any other player) load the
playlist and start playing it (that is, a single click means start
playing the playlist).
This bug is valid. The GUI stops responding while rhythmbox doesn't
receive streaming data (the only way to close the application is killing
it). To reproduce will need a slow internet connection (or being able to
mimic one).

I can't play DVDs with gxine either. I select DVD from the menu and I
get the demuxer not found message.

I was able to play the DVD by installing libxine1-ffmpeg and/or
libxine1-gnome. :-)

As of May 2007, the bug is still there for me. I had to symlink
/usr/lib/locale to fix the problem.

In my system (Ubuntu Edgy x86, Athlon 64 3200+, 512 MB RAM, SATA HD)
gedit may take up to 10 seconds in some loads. I'd like to use it as a
replacement for nano, but this would require that it didn't take more
than 2~3 seconds worst case.
