Hi
I am trying to get the lightning pluigin working with Thunderbird.
However every time I try to install it complains it is not compatible
with my version of Thunderbird.
The versions I am using are.
Thunderbird 3.1.13
Lightning 1.0b5.
Google searches seem to suggest this should work but it
It might be the old 64bit vs. 32bit issue.
Check you have compatible binaries. Lightning has some pre-compiled
C/C++ in it and so needs to be built for the correct architecture.

Now we're perilously close to releasing 11.10 onto the world, it's
been asked [0] what things the developers would like to see the focus
on for the 12.04 (Long Term Support) release.
Personally I would like all core applications to support proxy servers
properly. Especially as it's an LTS release
Personally I would say, stability and that alone.
11.04 and 11.10 have both seemed a little unstable, and sluggish. A round of
concentrating on really honing what we have?

I wish for the release cycle to slow down and attempt to fix all of the
problems before the next release, instead of ploughing forward inexorably.

1) better focus on accessibility earlier in the cycle
2) a more testable desktop earlier, this time it has been hard to test
detailed stuff because the huge breakages get in the way.
3) a more menu-like

To be fair, you'd kind of hope that would be the aim of a LTS release.
Otherwise you just risk losing reputation.

unity. Ditch it in favour of Gnome3
LTS releases should focus on stability and nothing else in my honest opinion

things work with it.
If such a system was designed, and taking ldap as the base, what
