I dont know what happened there, but I tooka snapshot of the VM uninstalled it, then installed it again, now its working perfectly and it even has extras, which I assume must be from the Guest Additions. I dont have to use the right/ctrl to access the host machine, it just works in and out of t

It was everything, it affected the Router. I couldnt get a connection. I think it might have been something to do with the VM Network connector. I have a feeling it changd the IP address, and I also think it might have taken over the connection itself and made it default. I had no idea how to fix t

Hmm it shouldn't be on your desktop -are you referring to your Ubuntu dtop or the VM one? Open up the autorun.inf file in Notepad - it'll tell you which file is meant to start up automatically (I can't for the life of me remember which one it is). If you need any more help let me know. J

Hi, I got it fixed. I was using the Wubi.exe installer from the website, and it was downloading the wrong version. Now that you have asked the question, I am not sure. I know it wasnt the i386 version. Once you got past the initial install, it said it was installing the other version. I had act

I am trying to install Ubuntu 9.04 on a vista machine. I got to the install bit, and it showed that it was installing amd68 not i386. I want to install the i386 as that is what I know. Can somebody give me the url to the i386 installer for wubi? I cant seem to find it. Thank you. John. -- ub
