I have a new Macbook Air 2012 Model and it seems that I have the same
problem as reported here.
An older kernel version 3.3 works fine, where as newer ones give me a
black screen.
Daniel asked me to test the latest patch from here. I applied Check
combined VBT/register delay on top of todays

No Audio from HDMI After
Having this problem also, Xorg updated itself and now its crashing
randomly to the log in screen and restarting my session. I have the
latest Nvidia 304.32 Drivers and Ubuntu pushed an update that was FUBAR

When I run Google Chrome and go to 'chrome://gpu-interals' the X Server
would crash and this didn't seem to be dependent on the Xorg Core Server
version. I installed my Nvidia divers directly from the Nvidia
binaries. The Nvidia*304.32.sh.run drivers
