I just tried 304.37 and it doesn't fix X crashing for me. My test case is running a game using bumblebee until the "GPU has fallen off the bus" problem occurs. With 304.37, I didn't get the "GPU has fallen off the bus" error in the log, but video output froze and when I tried to terminate the process, X hung completely. I was able to ssh into the machine but could not restart lightdm, presumably because the bumblebee Xorg process would not terminate.
