It kinda worked flawlessly apart from the very first scan which kinda
failed for some reason and reported only 10% of my albums. An update
scan fixed this, but still most of the covers were missing.
The third scan (delete db, complete rebuild) now seems to have worked
correctly.

OK - this is an interim update.
I've downloaded everything from
http://svn.slimdevices.com/repos/slim/7.4/trunk/vendor/CPAN/
Then I edited the buildme.sh file to comment out lines 18-23 so it
doesn't run the architecture check. At this point buildme.sh will run
and do its stuff.

The transition from 7.3 to 7.4 on Debian/Ubuntu was a bit rough in the
beta days, but I would expect a clean ins

squeezeboxserver-7.4.0-28672.tgz right?

on my little MP3 server which runs Ubuntu 5.10 "Breezy Badger", but

Hi,
I downloaded and tried to install the new version 7.4 on my Suse 10
system. Before the rpm update I erased the original installation of
squeezecenter-7.3.4-0.1.28402
When I try to start squeezeboxserver it's running for a few seconds,
then crashes. The program outputs some error messages.
