Did not know about the VU-meters as extensions, but you can switch between different custom clock screens with screen switcher. I use it to see my Off-screen and a radar screen every 5 minutes for 30 seconds. You may cycle between more screens too if you like. Screen Switcher is no longer availab

Unfortunately, my jivelite pCP is a little dead at the moment so I can't test anything. You probably should be using this directory instead /opt/jivelite/share/jive/applets/SetupWallpaper/wallpaper/. /tmp is definitely temporary. Add opt/jivelite/share/jive/applets/SetupWallpaper/wallpaper/pcp
