I've been having the same issue. I upgraded to PCP 7 beta today, so I
assume that's the latest beta. I can select HifiBerry DAC2HD and Pro as
my soundcard. I have limited choices for the output setting:
rkerr:
I followed your suggestions, and I was able to access the server. Right
now, I'm waiting for a scan to finish.

, it takes a long time
(several minutes) to load any Squeezeboxserver screen, and displays no
library at all.
I'd appreciate any help you can give me.

Notice I used the same two commands other users tried. I verified that
there is a file named jive in the directory /opt/squeezeplay/bin.
Anybody have any thoughts on this? Thanks.

I've been reading about Java with OSS and ALSA, and apparently Java 6
directly supports ALSA. In that case, it seems that I do not need padsp
anymore. Can anyone confirm this?

that requires it? I do have
Pulseaudio set as my default in ALSA.
I'm also curiousas to what command I should use to shut down
SoftSqueeze on the headless server, for example, when I want to change
configuration and try something else.
I appreciate any help or insight.

I tried using -Dslimcenter=[my host name] and I get the same hanging
result. I tried omitting -Dserver, and various combinations, all
without avail.

Perhaps if I had used -Dsqueezecenter instead of -Dslimserver, it may
have worked better.
Once again, Help! Save me from going crazy, please!

I just noticed that while my command line seemed to hang, Softsqueeze
was actually running, and detected by Squeezecenter.
My only remaining problem is to get the sound directed to the
soundcard.
