I have a setup with LMS running on a RPi 3, and several pCP players
installed on RPi 1 and 2 models. It works very well and has for years
now.
However, after upgrading my players to pCP 4.0.0, my systems stopped
autostarting my favourite radio stations on reboot. For stability, I
have set my
Thank you so much for the replies, which should give me a good chance to
get it working on my system!

Forgive me for asking a question that may have already been answered in
this rather long thread, I have searched for the solution without
success.
I am using Ubuntu LTS versions (14.04, 16.04 and 18.04) on various
computers and I have good experiences using squeezelite for playing
music locally

Hi Paul and Greg,
Thank you for being so helpful and not giving up on this issue.
As for Greg's troubleshooting link and the most frequent reasons for
wifi not working:
1.Wrong password.
2.Wrong SSID.
3.piCorePlayer does not support hidden SSID.
4.piCorePlayer does not support special
I already tested the 3.5.0 image for the last few months, and it worked
perfectly. It was only after trying to upgrade to 4.0.0 that my wifi
connection failed. It has also worked for all the previous versions for
a few years now. I bought the RPi in December 2014, and I think the 1.18
version

I have actually tried that a few times now,
I updated my Raspberry Pi 1B+ from 3.5.0 to 4.0.0.b5 using the WiFi
connection, and everything during upgrade seemed to work well. However
after reboot, it could not connect to WiFi. I have now taken it down and
connected to wired ethernet, and everything works, so the upgrade has
completed as
It is a drive from Medion.com . I do not know exactly which brand of
disk is inside the enclosure, it is not easy to open it. I did not
receive any software with it, nor can I download anything from their
website. So probably, I will either have to live with the spinning disk
or buy one that can
I have finally taken the full step and moved all my music (approx. 3
songs in FLAC format, formerly stored on a very old, outdated and
insecure NAS server) to a separately powered 2Tb USB HDD which is now
attached to an RPi3 running pCP 3.22 with LMS. It works great, the LMS

I am using piCorePlayer on an RPi3 with LMS installed and my music on a
FAT32-formatted USB drive. It works very well. LMS scans and recognizes
my music OK. However, my playlists are only partly imported. More
specifically, file names/paths with Danish special characters (æ, ø, å)

I did a fresh install of piCorePlayer 2.04 on my RPi3, and I just wanted
to report that despite the warnings on the LMS tab:

Thanks to the team for excellent and interesting developments over the
past weeks. I was perhaps a bit too eager to upgrade, because insitu
upgrade failed and made my RPi1B+ unable to boot. Burned the image to
the MicroSD card again, and now it works.
Don't know if there were problems
Dear Man in a van / Ronnie and AngloCuencano,
Thank you very much for your suggestions. Actually, I already had tried
reformatting and re-imaging the MicroSD card several times and with
several versions, all giving the same result, but thank you anyway.
It was the suggestion by AngloCuencano
I have installed piCorePlayer 2.02 on an RPi1b+ and have problems when
listening to web radio. The LMS is on a separate RPi3 running max2play,
with music stored locally, and connected to my router via cable. The
client RPi1b+ is connected via a TP-Link TL-WN725N V2 USB WiFi dongle as

Never mind, I guess I will try to be patient then. Meanwhile, I set up
the beta version of max2play with LMS on the new RPi 3, and it seems to
work very well with all my players and my music library on a USB HDD.
However, the idea of a very lightweight distribution running everything
in RAM and
I saw on the piCorePlayer home page a couple of reports that
piCorePlayer 2.0x does not work with the new RPi 3 board. If that
information is correct, it is a bit of a pity... I just got my hand on
my first RPi 3 because I intend to install Logitech Media Server on it,
and in a previous post I

I just revived an old RPi Model B with a HiFiBerry card and piCorePlayer
2.01. It works fine and is as easy as ever to configure. Listening to
music from it as I write this. Congratulations and a big thank you to
everyone contributing to this latest and greatest version! ;)

I am a very happy user of piCorePlayer for a few months now - it is nice
to notice the progress, and I am in the process of ordering a HifiBerry
DAC to test. Thank you for all the effort.

know that Logitech Media Server and
