Is HDMI audio output still 'very unsupported'? I'm currently running pCP
6.1 and am about to update to 8.2.0.
I'm using a Pi B+ v1.2. The analog 3.5mm jack is just too noisy for even
casual listening. I would appreciate any suggestions to improve audio
quality.

First, it doesn't do well with 24/96 via USB. There is definitely a
"tick" sound between tracks, and it occasionally sputters. This is with
hard-wired LAN, Cat6, all gigabit switches, etc. No issue on my other

I've got a bit of a problem with the pCP, on both B/B+ hardware.
I can't seem to connect to Pandora from either player. The error I get
(using SqueezePad interface) is "You must be a subscriber to use Pandora
from this device". Both players are visible via mysqueezebox.com, and

No you can't change it through LMS. Once you find the dynamic IP address
vis LMS, log into your router and give the pCP a fixed IP, since LMS
tells you the MAC ID.

Confirmed, I had the same issue
I think I fixed my "last 10 second glitch" issue :-)
I started by doing a fresh reformat of the MicroSDHC card in the B+,
with a fresh image of 1.18. Glitch still present.
Then, I increased the buffer size within the web GUI of the pCP from the
default of 80, to 160. Glitch gone! I then start
Upgraded both B & B+ from 1.17a to 1.18 today, thank you Steen and
Greg.
"Last 10 second" glitch still there, but I will keep up trying to debug.

Did more testing tonight with both a B, and a B+ running 1.17a, and the
"last 10 second glitch" is audible with HDMI audio in addition to the
aforementioned built-in analog audio.

I've continued to trouble-shoot my "last 10 second glitch" and have
definitely decided it has to do with Squeezelite. I had conversations
with Triode, and he thinks the output buffer might need to be increased.

I see where someone got the OPPO HA-1 DAC to work with their pCP. I've
not used a USB DAC with the pCP before. I played around with the ALSA

Steen, just FYI, I can never do the web upgrade. Even after a complete
reformat/re-image. What could be causing this?
I get all the correct prompts through the interface, files download and
it says success. I get all the way to "Reboot and you will have 1.17a".

I finally got 1.17 to work. I ended up having to pull the SD card,
re-format and install a fresh image of 1.17. Previously I was stuck at
1.16, and could never web-upgrade to 1.16a or 1.17.
New web GUI looks good, and appears to work/load faster on my iPad Air.

interface. Files successfully downloaded, and all the prompts indicated
that the player was ready to be updated, I initiated the install,
rebooted, etc. However, all About screens still show me at 1.16.
