Other cool stuff - unlike in 12.04 LTS you don't seem to have to install advanced media codec packages in 16.04, they seem all packaged in from what I can tell. Furthermore 16.04 doesn't seem you to require to fuss around with fstab to correctly mount drives, the standard "Disks" program offers a

Checked /var/log/squeezeboxserver/server.log and it restarts the service every 5 seconds: 2016-04-24 10:18:33 Logitech Media Server died. Restarting. Is there any other log file I can check? The last time I saw this behavior, it was due to the new Ubuntu release upgrading the Perl package.

Michael, I was using the most recent nightly build of 7.9 LMS, installing the .deb file via dpkg. Yes, you are correct; I'm running 32-bit Ubuntu currently, but I can easily re-install the 64-bit version, since I'm ready to "retire" this computer anyway, and make it a dedicated Squeezebox server.

My understanding is that Michael fixed the 64 bit version a couple months ago. Has the 32 bit version of LMS 7.9 received the same treatment yet or is there a date that it might get updated to run on There is support for i386 for Perl 5.22/5.20. That should cover ubuntu. -- Michael __

I finally had time to update LMS to latest 7.9 and upgrade my ubuntu 15.10 to 16.04. All went smooth. The only issue I've noticed so far is that the local radio station list is empty. This used to be filled with all of our Dallas area stations. Other radio station lists are full and work fine.
