How do I remove openoffice from my Mac?

I do not want Open Office on my computer anymore and want to uninstall it.
I can't find it in my add/remove programs and it did not install any
uninstall program with it when it downloaded to the computer.
I would appreciate assistance with this problem.

I would like to uninstall my openoffice program, but it does not respond to
"remove." I must do the removal, because openoffice have taken over my MS
office files, and, as a reuslt, both program fozes up. Pelase help, I'm
desperate!!

You don't tell us which versions of OS X and OOo you have, but i'll
punt. Open up the Applications folder, click and drag the OpenOffice

The point of removing it from the computer is the computer is very slow with
it since there isn't that much memory space on it. I know it is installed
since it's an Icon on the desktop which opens up on the computer when I click
on it! I can open all of the different programs of it but

Does "all of the different programs of it" mean Writer, Calc, and so on?
If so, find the folder (directory) where the programs are stored. Its
name should include OpenOffice.org. On a Windows machine, it will
generally be C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org v (where v is the version
