I had the same problem yesterday. Someone steered me to the archives and I found the answer. Using a terminal program, log on as root. mkdir /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF.bad mv /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTf/Vera* /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF.bad That should do it. carl On Nov 5, 2006, at

I am using version 2.04 of OpenOffice.org. My problem is the program won't open since Apple updated the X11 application in their software updates. It begins to open, and then disappears. Thank You James Shupe

When I try to launch OpenOffice, it times out. I think it's a X11 problem. When I try to launch X11 it flashed in the toolbar for a second, then it's gone. I can't actually launch X11. Have any ideas why? Running OSX 10.4.7 on an Intel Mac. Thanks! Jim
