Hello Ron,
Yoour link is just to the main Thermoworks website and not a specific, in this

of products and while I spend a bit of time on their website looking at many of
their very interesting products, I did not

Hi Group,
Now just what this has to do with the iPhone, I don't know, but as long
as the topic hasn't been locked, here is a great talking Thermometer. It
is from Thermoworks.

Yes, I suspect you’re right. I did switch back to Good Maps Explorer just to
try to compare the two, and at least superficially, it brings some of the same
features to the table that you got in Sound Scape and you now get in Voice
Vista.

Yeah I did: the instructions that came with it even had a section on how to get
it to talk. It just, didn’t.

No offense, but did you make sure you bought the right one? I just looked it up
on Amazon Canada and they do make non-talking models as well.
Anyways, I am going to order one so I guess I will find out.

Weird, I tried that brand and for some reason the talking feature never worked.

Hmm, I know here in Canada we pay some of the highest prices for cell plans and
also internet, but I certainly was never charged for a modem. I am currently
with a relatively small regional provider as they have been installing fiber
cables throughout our small community for years whereas
I use this one. It isn't wi-fi or bluetooth,
though. It speaks the temperature at the push of a button.

Hello,
I was experiencing the same behavior and after a reset of network
settings and the like, it was suggested to me to switch to ESIM with
my carrier instead of using a physical sim and this worked to resolve
the issue.
Since then, I have not had any dropped calls.

I wanted to see if anyone had any good recommendations for a good stand alone

Thanks in advance.

Ivan, you continually take things out of context. I said at $100 it would be too much. But, according to an article posted on the Tech VI list f Perkins Institute, Voice Dream costs $60, which I said is worth it given its excellent features. Go fix your app and come back when you have it ready.
Hi Sieghard,
My provider charges 15 dollars a month for their modem. That adds up to 180 US
dollars a year. I bought my NetGear Modem/router in 2015 for 140 dollars, but
saved myself at least 1200 dollars in the last eight years. I will look into

2. Close all apps and then go to Settings > General > Reset and select to Reset
Network Settings, this will also reboot your phone

Exactly, so my question is whether you can use VoiceVista for turn by turn
directions, and if so, how would you do it since the route tab doesn’t seem to
be the way to go. Maybe you need to use voiceVista in conjunction with
something like Apple Maps.

I don't think it does that. It looks to me like you have to have dropped a bunch of waypoints along a route and then you can create a route out of those waypoints. It says on the route screen:Create a route for yourself or for someone else by organizing a set of markers as waypoints on a route.
I was using voiceVista the other day, and it seemed pretty cool, but I wasn't
able to figure out how to get turn by turn directions out of it. Is this
possible, and where would I go to do it? The route tab just seems to let me
define and name a route.
