I just did a 2 finger double tap and hold. This is the same as renaming an app

well with a 4S. Other than slower performance, the 4S does not have any

Talking goggles will do some light OCR. That's a free app and may help.
You would use it by finding the sign and aiming the camera at the sign, and
hold it there for a few seconds.
As far as an app that will let you know where you are.
There is not one that I know of, but the looktel
I don't even use the TV with my apple TV. I use a soundbar that has an
optical audio input. Connect the Apple TV to the soundbar, set it's input to
digital audio, and get great sound.

First of all, the hissy voice can be from having the compact voice on your
phone. It's either enabled, or you need to download the high quality voice,
which happens when the unit is charging.
As far as the pronounciation issue, if you disable siri, the enabled it, all
things that siri has learned
It does have dropbox support, doesn't it?
