Yes, calendar is the same. That is you can add your gmail or windows live
calendar to the list of available calendars on your device. This is the same
with notes and contacts, etc. This can be really handy for instances where you

I just had a look at this and this doesn't work for me, either. I had it set
to 2 lines, then I went and changed it to 5 lines and I tried what you said,
Richard, and flicked away and back to a message and I am completely keeping
my fingers off the screen for a long time

e-mail messages. Yet, under Preview I have the choice for 2 lines
selected I have Hints enabled and am holding my finger on the message long
enough to hear the hint, slide up or down
You can use a three finger pull down as you can in other apps to refresh
your mail.

Just to add to Richard's and Jeff's answers, the 3-finger pull down to
refresh is part of the new Action rotor setting which means the gesture is
available if your rotor is set to Actions. Please note you don't really
have to do anything to set it since the Action setting is the

1) Don't leave your finger on the message in the list. I usually get it to work
when I use a right or left flick. It does not work when I delete a message.
2) Archive has to do with whether or not your messages are flagged for saving
on the server or moved to trash. Notes is for backing notes
