Have you tried it on something with a lot of fancy graphics such as the label
on a can or bottle? That’s where I’m having problems. It used to just read the
text, but now it seems to prefer to try to interpret the graphics.

success. After a few shots the app crashes. Perhaps I will try the

Ok, I played around with and finally got it to work. It correctly identified
the color of my shirt. When I changed it to object and aimed it at my face, it
identified my face as face. I

Remember, if the button says "still camera" then you are in video mode and if
you double tap that button you switch to still camera mode. Leave it in video
mode, then double tap the record button and you should get good results.

I’m replying to myself here. I’ve had a reply from Martijn van der Spek the
developer of Talking Goggles and he says there’s an update awaiting approval
from Apple. In the meantime, the free version has been updated and is working
fairly well.
