Hi Cait. What I do, is to put my wright thumb on the lightning port
down at the bottom of my phone, then slide my wright index finger up.
If I stop a little way up my screen, I'll hear/feel tha first
vibration to go to home. If I keep holding my finger on the screen,
voice over will actually say
Thanks so much for these tips, Richard! I've been fiddling with this for over

It is a little tricky at first.
You need to touch on the very, very bottom edge of the screen, and do a smooth
slide up the screen.
You should hear a tone, keep sliding, you should hear another tone and feel a
vibration; lift your finger at that point to go to the home screen.
Do the same gestur
Here is a list of gestures taken from the iOS 11 manual. I do not think there
are any new gestures in iOS 12, but I have not had time to check the iOS 12
manual.

I never even upgraded to 11 so I'm gonna have to learn some new gestures as
well. I assume though somewhere in The voiceover accessibility Settings that
there is an instructional thing for learning gestures as there is for the
earlier iOS is. I'd like to see that list too. I often do a lot from

I do not think there are any new gestures in iOS 12 for the iPhone, but I can
send you a list later.
There are really two ways to get back to the top.
My favorite, is touch in the status bar with one finger, then double tap with
that one finger.
Now, when you touch below the status bar, you'll be
If you can get your hands on Anna Dresner’s iPhone books, there are
descriptions of the gestures; also, I’m sure, available through Hadley

Well, after further experimentation, I really don't know what is going on. It
has actually worked once or twice to put me at the bottom where I wanted to be
with the foreign-language channels. Other times, no dice. I have no idea why
this might be. It's very weird.

Hello, my experience is flicking left from the first bottom tab, brings me to
that 999 channel. Actually, now there’s some 1995 service check channel.
This flick left from the bottom row of tabs is working whether I have all
channels showing or if I narrow the list to my favorites.
I agree tho
Hi Paul,
I have started my phone in the recent past. I am running the beta. But this
problem did not start with the beta. I think it was around in 10.2. I would be
curious what other TV guide users are experiencing. And if there are any beta
folks who want to talk about beta, of course it can't
Mary,
That’s correct, when I flick left, I land on channel 999, which is a Comcast
employee channel or something.
It is on row something like 570.
When you flick left from “Listings” It should scroll to the bottom.
Have you by chance restarted your phone?

Hi Paul,
When I am in the listings tab and I flick left, I get the last listing on the
first screen of channels. But since I am subscribed to a satellite thing,
DirecTV, there are hundreds of rose. And I wanted to go down to the very end,
because that's where the foreign-language programming is.
Hi Mary,
So I just tried to reproduce your problem. I didn’t realize that the list had
the tabs across the bottom. From within the “Listings” tab, I focus on the
Listings button, and flick left and my focus is now at the bottom of the
listing of channels. I’m not sure why this is not working fo
Hi Mike,
That's nice. But not relevant, since I'm talking about an iPhone, not a Mac.
Maybe Apple will let us have customized gestures at some point in the future.

On my macbook, I actually made up two custom gestures for this. I set
option+swipe up for go to top, and option+swipe down for go to bottom, works
every time.

by chance are there tabs at the bottom just above the home button? If so
touch there then flick left and that should get you to the bottom of the

Hi Paul,
OK. I guess what I want doesn't exist. That for finger single tap just goes to
the bottom of the screen. I want to go to the bottom of the whole business,
like what happens when you do a single finger tap in the status bar and you're
taking back from wherever you are up to the very top
Mary,
you want to do a 4 finger single tap on the bottom half of the screen, and this
should take focus to the bottom of the list.
Take care.

HI David, Here is an article that will get you started. Also if you do a four
finger double tap, will toggle on and off gesture help. You can also just do a
two finger scrub to exit the help. So if you do a four finger double tap and
wish to exit it again, just do a two finger scrub or anothe
