Goodness, but I couldn't say how many times in a day I use Table Index - use it
for most outgoing calls.

Glad you got it working. I have a couple hundred contacts and use the table
index regularly. The table index is also very important to me when working with
my music library; I probably have close to 4,000 albums in the library. so the
table index is critical when I navigate by artist. Speaking
Gld you got things working again. I don't use the table index, so I actually
forgot it was there. I just use the letter headings to move through my
contacts. It works well for me, but I'll have to give the table index a shot.
Thanks,
Ari

Somehow, my Table Index is not working, not navigable. I
have tried to rotor; I have tried to just double tap when I
got on it. I can't make it work and am very dependent on it
with over 150 contacts, which might not be many to some, but
nevertheless, works way better with Table Index.
Thanks
Index work in contacts, please?
An alternative to table index is to swipe to the first letter, change rotor to
headings and then swipe down. It takes you to the next letter. So, when you get
to the letter you wish swipe right for the list of contacts.

I definitely will try that, Anna. I have about 150 contacts, and rarely use
Siri to call, so I use Table Index a lot.

It is working fine here with an SE and iOS 12.1.
When you touch the table Index and it says swipe up or down, turn the rotor and
make sure it is on adjust value. It should default there, but perhaps it isn't
for some strange reason.

Hi,
Also, don't forget that you can double-tap and hold a table index and slide
your finger. This makes navigating it much faster.

Hi Jeffrey,
I updated Pandora right around the time that I updated to IOS 7, a couple of
months ago or so. The table index disappeared then, and, it seems to me,
the station listing is in a grid view and isn't sorted alphabetically.
What's worse, I can't find any setting for the old-style
A word to the wise: Pandora has seen fit to do away with the table index in
its latest release. Too bad, because I relied on this quite a bit with my 99
stations.

When you are focused on the table index, and you can't get it to work, use the
rover and go to adjust value. Then swipe up or down and table index should work
as it should.

Hi,
Try double-tap and hold, then slide up and down. Sometimes this works better.
Once you're in the vicinity, you should be able to flick up or down again. If
that doesn't help, try turning the phone off and on.

Anna

Hi Frank;
I never have a problem finding the table index.
However, I noticed that when I select a letter, it either goes to the letter
before or, the letter after.
I guess it's a bug.

When it works correctly the table index allows you to swipe down to the
aphaalphabet need then swipe right to get to the item under that letter.
