Thanks to all that have responded. I was hoping that I could use my phone in airplane mode while on the boat. I would rather use the phones in airplane mode, than mess with older equipment that I no longer use, to make the recordings or take the pictures. This is all good information. Wayne On 11

Sorry if I'm missing your question, but turning on airplane mode turns off wifi and cellular, so you don't need to turn them off if you turn on airplane mode. Airplane mode basically turns off all of your phone's radios, so it'll also turn off bluetooth and your GPS. I was traveling internationally
