Your issue is your internet service. When you logged out, your internet service allowed another site to take over that IP. The next time you logged in it got the next available IP. Look up DHCP to see what this is about. To get access to this machine even as the ip address look up DYNDNS.ORG

I run an application that shows a number of lines of text, starting at the bottom of a window pane. As new lines are added to the pane, the already-existing lines scroll upwards. I'm not having any luck getting WinVNC to show me the updates on the entire pane. It shows me only the bottom line.
