Hello, i have two computers with windows XP on both of them, from one i can connect vnc using the ip or the net name of the other but from the other one i can connect to the first one only by using the ip number because when i put the net name y takes a while and then sayd can connect to server.

Windows XP does not have NETBEUI installed by default, so the broadcast will not happen. If you don't have a DNS server with records for the computer and you don't want to maintain a hosts file for your computers, you can still install NETBEUI in XP. Microsoft has hidden it on the XP CD under
