WOW. That seems like a creative (and extensive) workaround to get a web
language to run as a cron job.
But I am going to save it. If all a person knows is PHP I can see where it

Since kernel upgrade (debian etch) Ive gotten occassional messages to console
about overheating CPU.
Getting hardware fixes is out of the question for the moment. Any suggestions

Aptitude tells me...
Wasnt able to locate file for the linux-image-2.6.18-5-686 package.
and that I might have to manually fix the package due to a missing arch.
Basically I always let aptitude take care of these things, or hire someone
if it cant. Any quicky suggestions?

My apologies to everyone. It appears that an fsck at some point did in
fact wipe a couple of libraries. So the xwindows that used to work, was
broken. So reinstall packages was the correct answer.
