size. I found the solution. I took the PDF exported at "Best"
quality from Pages and re-opened in Acrobat 8 Pro. I then saved that
PDF using the "optimize" function. Size now 2.7MB - OK for my

picture's document. In other words if you import a 3Mb picture file
into the pages document it still retains the original document size
