By the way, does anyone know why we can't read flash on iphones or
ipods? Does it have something to do with the relationship between
apple and adobe. I mean, why can't we see Flash? Isn't an iphone and
ipod a mini computer?

I am with you Mark. Without having to keep my floppy - CD - DVD up to
date I can pick up the Gum Nut Babies and read to my grandchildren. They
sit beside me talking about the drawing of the Big Bad Banksia Men and
turn the page G'Dad to see what happens - let me, I'll do it. And that
Thanks Ray. It will take me a bit of time to digest your response and come up
with another approach.

I bought a paperback book in NY for $13. The same title, in slightly
different appearance, sells here in Geraldton for $36! Perhaps that's
the threat.

I don't think we are going to see books disappear overnight because of
iPads/Kindles. But ... I do think a *lot* of people are going to be
reading emails, blogs, newspapers, books etc and updating social media
via iPads. With iWork, students won't need laptops at all, just an
iPad. So we are
Good Morning Everyone,
For some time I have had very occasional delays in delivery of email both
sending and receiving using Mail which the server has not been able to
explain. I now find that in the 'To' line of some received emails, the
name is of someone in my address book and not my name.
I don't think most people are talking about the iPad replacing
receipts, financial records and all of that sort of paper in an office
(although with credit card readers on iPhones and iPod touches now
available and the low price and ease of use of the iPod touch and iPad

Hi Everyone
I have been pondering the above question for some weeks now, after my

I remember from the olden days last century that Martin seemed always the

I agree with him about book publishers needing to change their marketing
It may have more to do with Apple maintaining a tight control on development
issues relating to their products. Apple may be encouraging open source
development vs Adobe's propriety schemes.

Although I believe that sales of hard copies, in newspapers, mags and books,

The iPhone has been very popular and sales are increasing but only a small
