Hi Severin,
So just to confirm:
In Finder preferences:
- Under the general pane, show these items on the desktop: you have a tick
against External Disks, but the disk doesn't show on the desktop
- Under the sidebar pane, show these items in the sidebar: you have a tick
against External
Thanks for those comments Neil. Will check through again.

Severin
Yes, it is a soggy day here in Albany and everything went off in a
brief powerout with that lightning near us about 15 mins ago! Maybe
that will do the trick!

Ok, those tips are good. I tested a scan to Computer and the Pictures

Hi Daniel, I have had the Compact Flash card installed for 4 months
straight in the Epson printer, I never take it out. I use it as on board
memory for the purpose of storing scanned images for subsequent pick ups
from either the Macbook or the wirelessly connected HP laptop on the
same network.
I would assume that when the printer/scanner goes into a sleep mode when
not being used then that feature disappears until it's need. When you open

It's not really using it as a shared device like a hard
The compact flash/memory card is normally used for PictBridge printing

Hi Pat,
Hi again Pat,
It seems to be intermittent, if you get the We're sorry, immediately try the
link again and you will find it works.
Also did you sort out your MailBox problems?
As I have said numerous times on WAMUG List Do Not Upgrade if anything is
amiss with your system.

Hi, Ronni,
Mail seems to be working OK now, messages delete obediently. I set the
permanenly erase to one month and rebuilt the mailbox. It seems that 1400 old
e-mails were lurking around somewhere in the bowels of my Mac, but they are
gone now.
I struggled mightily with the download
