XML may look scary but luckily it's really not so complicated!
XML is just a set of nested tags with properties, where you can name
the tags and properties anything you want, and include text

Something i noticed playign around with things is that this:
<@format str="<@literal value='<@version>'>" encoding="@@request$fixenc">
will output "<@version>" but if you take off the <@literal> it seems to work like it should (:
