I've managed to get XFree86 4.2.0 built and running on powerpc. Using
the ati driver, 'UseFBDev', and the radeonfb kernel driver, the best
display I can get is 640x480 with most of the display tinted yellow.

Are there any known problems with the Trident Blade3D chipset?
I have a workstation running FreeBSD 4.7-STABLE and XFree86 4.2.0.
The graphic card is an AGP Trident Blade3D based card. The system
sporadically freezes when I try to work under XFree86 making it
almost impossible to run XFree8
I'll admit that I don't pay super close attention, but it seems to me
that there's a growing trend among the top 3d chipset makers to provide
their own proprietary accellerated drivers for XFree86. ATI and NVidia
are the two examples I can think of, and it seems like they're the best

We are seeing a strange problem with a bunch of new GeForce4 MX420-based
cards on Linux/x86, both with the XFree86 driver and with NVIDIA's
binary-only driver. While the overall display appearance is fine, text
characters in xterms or the xdm/kdm login window have a distinct shadow to
